Why do women look a zillion times more beautiful when they’re doing what they love? Not that Summer Glau would look less than beautiful if she were just, say, napping, but these pictures make me cry.
Just thinking about The Serving Girl makes me happy with possibility. The great silent stars were also great athletes and I wonder if Joss Whedon has some pathos-style Chaplinesque comedy in his ballet?
I’m hoping Joss adds Charisma and Amy in supporting roles since both had ballet training in their younger days.
Also, I’ve always thought James Taylor stole the line from my 1965 musical version of Noah’s Ark. The bull-to-cow love theme “My Bovine Dream” started with the line:
“Something in the way she moos…”
I actually did type that.
Hee hee. Great pictures. I hope this is real (up-to-date pics, not “early” pics)! Serving Girl would be so awesome…
